Thank you Lew and Anne for you comments and taking the time to look at my sketch. I think it help when you have a liking for the subject matter as you will know Kew, I like to draw almost anything , but it feels easier when I have a particular interest in what in sketching .

A4 pencil sketch . Apart from the sketches I’m doing for my granddaughters I have neglected sketching of late . I decided to set aside a half hour in the evening to sketch , I also find it quite relaxing to have a set time with nothing to interfere. This was 25 in the doing using most a 5b pencil and a clutch pencil for the initial lines, phot not very good due to poor light.

I have sketched most of my life on and off I became interested in watercolour following a spinal injury whilst in hospital but did not follow it up. My eldest daughter bought me a beautiful wooden box set of half pans about twenty five years ago I dabbled on and off until retirement twelve years…
