Love this junkyard doodle (super rustiness)

You may call it a doodle but its delightfully drawn, accurate.

There is something about some unfinished work that give of a sense of completeness . Like you Alan , I love this sort of artwork, but rarely produce any it’s only when I’m not in the mood to paint that it seems to just happen. Your correct there Lew, if only they still had those old fashioned scrapie's I would be there with cameras , sketching gear and set up for a days painting , very happily.

You stopped at just the right stage, Paul. It's super - I love the focus on the large car in the foreground the way the less defined shapes fade away into outlined parts. It holds the eye and moves it around at the same time. Great work!

I like the unfinished look Paul, and you were probably right stopping when you did, it may not have turned out so well. As it is, it’s an excellent study of these rusty old cars.

Thank you Diane, pleased you like it. It was on the easel when I looked at it to re start and thought , I might spoil it , thought about it for a couple of day and well here it is unfinished but still,a reasonable painting.
