It is a really good result!!

Have looked at this on the Forum so it's good to see the end result - really good Paul

Great work Paul, good to try new ways.

It is totally different from your typical more translucent studies, which incidentally are really good, and I hope we’ll see them again at some point. This has much going for it, a success in many ways I’d say, overcoming your current difficulties with your hands, being one of them.

Thank you all for your very kind comments and encouraging. I will continue to paint in my usual way as much as I’m able and of course the right subjects.

I really like this, it can hang on my wall anytime !!

A good result, Paul, like the darker tones.

You are painting well Paul. Having finger trouble myself I admire your perseverance and the the way you continue to paint really good paintings.

Well done Paul. It’s good to try different things, and this does look different to your normal style. I like it, but I liked the old style too, especially the old neglected rusty vehicles and ships.

Such a difference to your usual palette Paul. It's good to try new things and you have painted this beautifully.

A good piece and a different style, which is good.

This is really good Paul, well done.

Great use of watercolour in s different way - really good Paul!

Makes me think of gouache Paul. Watercolour and gouache work very well together.

Lovely. I really like the contrast between the sharp focus at the front and the softer effect in the distance. Creates real depth.

Thank you all for your comments they are appreciated, despite the time taken I have enjoyed doing this piece. I have some ship painting waiting in the wings Lew , will be having a go before to long .

Yup a goodie Paul.

Well done Paul, terrific painting.

I like this Paul, it makes me wonder what is at the end of the path. A lovely painting.

Thank you Sylvia , Russell and Cheryl I appreciate the kind comments.

You've painted a beautiful woodland scene, Paul and so clever how you have managed to adapt for your circumstances. That path looks so inviting!

Marvelous painting Paul, and shows persistence too , a really good results!

I like watercolours which emphasize the "colour" part rather more than the "water": now, that's not invariable - I like fluid, limpid washes too. But I think this has turned into a real success, not only because you've triumphed over your physical problem: it would be a good painting even if you'd not had any such problem at all. It has depth, vibrancy, structure, and I want to take a walk along that path.

I like the bold palette Dixie. Gives strength to the woods and shows the dense greens of ivy growth very well

Anne , Angela, Robert and Martin thank you . I appreciate your comments , having them made certainly boosts the moral and is encouraging . We post all post our work with a little bit of hesitation and hope we might get a couple of nice comments, but never expect them , it’s overwhelming when you have such positive reviews.

Lovely trees Paul 🌳

I really like this experimental style Dixie. I feel a need to walk along the path.

Thank you Faye and Mark I appreciate your comments.

I like the strong colours, and it shows what can be achieved through perseverance, and experimenting - so well done Paul.

Excellent painting, Paul!

A lovely woodland painting Paul full of depth. Well done on your perseverance to get it done.

Thank you Thalia and Christine I appreciate your kind comments .

Persistence - pays off Paul. A lovely mini-series.

Thank you Sandra and Cheryl I appreciate your comments.

Somehow I missed this Dixie, just spotted it on the banner. I think it’s a really positive excursion into a different style and I very much like the use of deeper colour and tone. Like Mark, I want to walk along that path and to be in your landscape.

A3 watercolour, painting using thick strong paint, ii used this as and experiment and exercise for my hand, more info on the forum if your interested. A very different style of painting for me it’s actually almost the opposite to how I usually paint, but it’s been a good learning experience and I e gained a lot from it. Thanks to all of you for your encouragement and support.
