That's great Paul, nicely painted and a powerful composition.

Lovely picture Dean, not sure how you produce them so quickly!

I’d have gone a bit darker tonally, nonetheless a very appealing piece of work Paul!

Thank you all so much for the kind comments.

Super picture Paul.

Totally believable botas - love it

Should of course be boats!

Thank you all for your comments I appreciate them .

Back in Liverpool Dixie…? nice one

It could well be a Sylvia , it imagined scenery and do use a lot of the Liverpool docks on my paintings along with London.

Love everything about this one, you are an excellent boat painter!!

Excellent ship and boats Paul. I like the treatment of the faded out background and the muted palette.

Thank you Valerie and Fiona for you kind comments , it’s come out a little lighter than the actual painting Fiona but not much lighter . I wanted it to have that early morning cold not a lot of colour look to it .

An impressive scene, Paul - well done!

Fine nautical scene Paul. Always a good topic for me.

Thank you Jim and Cheryl for you kind comments.

Especially like the big one on the right but lovely picture all round

Beautifully painted

Thank you Elaine and Romila for your kind comments.

A4 watercolour in A3 mount , tugs taking the strain up towing a cargo ship out of the docks. Set on one of those cold mornings where all colour seems drained from the sky and everything around. Bitter cold and ready to snow , sleet hence the slight purple look to the sea not even much of a breeze to disturb the snake etc . I do enjoy building up theses scenes , part imagination part reference from photos etc , take a ship from one scene and make it fit your imaginary one .
