Great painting Paul, a good wind in the sails!

Great depiction of what remains of the Brixham trawlers. Love the billowing sails & the choppy seas, you can almost taste the salt.

Love the atmosphere in this.

Thank you Manoj, Sarah, Jim and Carrie for you very kind comments.

This is a great start to your series of fishing boats Paul. If they have half as much character as this one they will be brilliant.

Excellent sea Paul and the addition of the birds and people.

Thanks Fiona and Richard for your valued comments.

A super painting, Paul - the boat is really ploughing through the water!

Thank you Anne your comment is appreciated.

Lovely and water looks so good.

That’s amazing. I can feel the motion of the waves just looking at it. I can’t draw boats !!

Thank you for your comment Candy, like anything else it’s a matter of practice drawing boats. I do like drawing and painting them , I think it’s all the different angles and shapes that attract me , plus something that big floating .

A4 watercolour of s Brixton sailing trawler, there are still a couple or more afloat and used as private sailing boats. Done fairly quickly with out to much details, I have a habit of putting in every screw, splinter and rope if I’m not careful. Hope to do a series of fishing boats of different types.
