Great subject Paul, and a really excellent painting!

Beautifully painted Paul, it looks great.

Now this is excellent Paul! What a superb painting and beautifully mounted.....very professional.

Well painted Paul. Scale and observation excellent.

Nicely done, Paul. Takes me back to a replenishment at sea somewhere in the West Indies (long time ago).

Fine work, Dixie. Interesting vessels. These RFAs aren't the glamour girl ships of the Navy, but are still full of interest.

Lovely old boat

Thank you all for your very kind comments they are appreciated very much. I think these ships have a certain glamour of their own. The fighting ships could not manage without these floating supermarkets and petrol stations. I pleased it stirred memories for some of you, I like it when a painting does that.

Beautifully painted, Paul!

Watercolour painting of RFA Grey Rover in Grytviken South George , a fleet supported vessel suppling general stores, also a small tanker. Sadly since this photo she has been scrapped, along with many other RN and RFA vessels . I spent a short time aboard when she was on one of her visit to the Falklands . Quite odd painting a ship that is mostly grey yet trying to put in different tones etc . Dedicated to all ex RN and RFA personnel.
