It’s fabulous, Diana. I hope your commission comes together soon.

Thank you Ellen. I have said no to commissions for a few years because I am beyond self critical 😂

I love that Diana!!

Totally and unmistakable a "Diana." Lovely work as ever.

Very good, Diana.

You certainly challenge yourself with these subjects, superbly painted!

Love it! Have missed seeing your work, hope your commission issues resolve themselves soon

Wow incredible

Very interesting composition and well painted Diana.

Original Diana and such wonderful treatment of light and shade. Love how you’ve painted the silver foil.

You are so good at spotting an opportunity to paint something different Diana. This suits your style bringing the best out of the reflections on the foil. Super.

Your watercolours never fail to amaze me Diana.

You’re paintings are always so interesting Diana and as always so well captured.

Thank you Linda and David. It was fun to paint.

Thank you Jim. Same draining board as in so many paintings! Thank you Denise. I appreciate your interest. Thank you Alan. I think landscapes are challenging too! Thank you Heather. That’s kind of you.

Thank you very much Stephen and Faye. Your thoughts are very encouraging. Thank you Val-Irene. The cubes fell out in a perfect composition, catching the light beautifully. Thank you Carole. It was an exercise in looking for the highlights and variations in tones to form the cubes.

Thank you Tessa. I love using the white of the paper for the highlights and the areas of brighter colours on the foil. Thank you so much Val. That’s such a lovely compliment which I really appreciate. Thank you Christine. It’s such a compliment to hear your motivating compliment.

Fabulous as usual Diana!!

Oh that’s just a beaut

Very skilfully handled Diana.

Great to hear from you Audrey. I appreciate everyone’s loyalty, particularly as I keep going AWOL. Thank you Helen. I have to admit to rather liking the outcome of this one. I’m not sure if it had simple subject or the suggestions of foil but it wax enjoyable. Thank you Stephen and Russell. I really value your thoughts. Many thanks.

Clever title, Diana! More lovely shiny things in your distinctive style.

Excellent work Diana :-) You deserve every compliment of the seasonings! I love the way you’ve perfectly captured the silver of the foil with those sublime little highlights.

You Jenny. I really struggle with titles. This was a lovely bit of fun painting. Many thanks Romila. I do appreciate you looking. Thank you Andrea. Watercolour is often more about the bits unpainted.

Half imperial sized watercolour on Saunders Waterford heavy CP paper. I am struggling with a commission and needed some light relief . This spontaneous and loose piece was loose and quick. I’m pleased that the tin and cubes were battered so accuracy wasn’t too important!
