You’ve captured the moment….. I agree with you regarding the cost of quality framing, however on the upside, good quality framing wins every time.

Many thanks again Christine. It’s a subject I’ve attempted many times and I’m still striving to produce one I’m really happy with. Thank you Tessa. Foil is just fascinating!! Thank you Heather. The softer , wet in wet areas are the most challenging. Thank you Carole. I hadn’t really thought of the round shape in that way. Interesting. Thank you Paul. The only downside to using the avocado was that there is no colour underneath it to reflect. Thank you Denise. I’m working on another one and taking more care so will see if that makes a difference to the outcome. Thank you Ellen and yes, framing can make or break a piece. Thank you again Jenny. I’m surprised that I like the round format but I’m trying another one in the same . I agree with the abstract look. Thank you Chris. I did or do like the colours in this Thank you Seok. It’s definitely an observation piece. All the beautiful shadows. Thank you Spencer. It’s one of two subjects that I keep returning to. It’s those reflections! Thank you Carole. I wonder if I’ll ever lose interest in painting glass and metal 😀

I was wrapping half of the avacado in foil and as the sun created beautiful shadows and highlights, I couldn’t resist! I have only tried a circular format once many years ago so it was a bit of an experiment. The cost of good quality framing is getting so much that smaller work may become more frequent. This is about 12” circumference
