Love this very textural, wild scene of natural beauty Diana.

I'd be very pleased too - like this a lot.

A really beautiful painting!

Interesting textures & contrasts.

You are right to be pleased, Diana, this really is a beauty!

Nice one Diana.

Your versatility is amazing, dear Diana. Even in oil you masterfully understand how to make the most of the peculiarities of the medium!

Love the spiky Gorse Diana. A super painting!

Lovely coastal scene Diana, and the foreground is great.

Thanks Carole. I love to see how a scene changes through the seasons. Thank you Heather. The recipient is happy so that’s what matters. He spends most of his life on that beach Thank you David. Much of it was pure luck! Thank you Stephen. I got inpatient and could have taken more time with the smoother bits. Thank you Mia. It’s a birthday present for my husband who spends as much time as possible on that beach. Thank you Linda. I’m surprised it actually looks like the place 😂. Pleased it does though. Detlev , what a lovely compliment. I’m happy as Larry Mark making in any medium but your right about each having its own properties. Thanks Louise. I really like those spikes too. Thank you Jim. I wasn’t sure if I’d got a bit carried away with the foreground.

I especially like the gorse, Diana!

Thanks Jenny. I thought it might be a bit OTT

Lovely painting Diana

Really lovely Diana.

I bet you are pleased with this, it's super!

Thanks David. I appreciate your encouragement. Thanks John. I think I can get away with miffed with a knife. That could be read as rather sinister 😂 Thank you Denise. That’s very encouraging Thanks Collette. I’m surprised it’s termed out ok. 😂

It's beautiful Diana and has a lightness that boils don't always seem to have. I really love it.

Oils🤣 sorry not boils!!

Beautiful, Diana!

I really like the colours here/

Thank you very much Audrey. Your typo really made me laugh. Hilarious 👍 Thank you for your interest Anne. Thanks Leslie. That’s great to read. Thank you for all the comments. They are really valued

Wild and rugged, love the bright splash of yellow.

Thank you Anne. This beach looks so calm and tropical in summer. I like the rugged , lively season.

We as artists are always very self-critical. Textures and colours are just right and that was what you were exploring. You will be able to fix what you want once it is dry!

This is terrific Diana, solid and free.

Morning Gudrun and thanks again. The opportunity to alter and paint over oils is quite a novelty. I did find the marks were free and bold with a knife Thank you Fiona. I love that description. It almost how you feel when standing there in person.

What a wonderful hide-a-way you have painted, so different from all your other works of art. There is such a story to be made from this scene. could be a smugglers cove or the end of the land. love it would love on my office wall, so I could dream up many tales. Well Done Diana

Hello Tao. Lovely to hear from you. I’m really glad you like this. Your right, it’s not my usual style and I’m not too keen on the mess with oils.

12x16 ‘’ oil on linen. Palette knife and a variety of synthetic and bristle brushes. Still exploring the medium to create different textures. There are areas I’m quite pleased with!
