The cliff on the right really looms over the scene. Very effective and atmospheric painting

Thank you David. There were more greens in this one. I was experimenting with Violet and burnt Sienna/burnt umber. Viridian and Sienna with a touch of violet. Lovely darks. Thank you Heather. I rarely come out of my set palette but I’ve enjoyed experimenting. Thank you William. Again , I needed some shape within the darks to avoid a big black blob 😂 Thanks Peter. Thank you Linda. I mixed sienna with blues and threw in a bit of lemon yellow and raw sienna and generally playing with the palette 😂

Thank you very much Anne and Christine. I hadn’t noticed how subtle the greens/ browns were in this but I used more burnt umber than Sienna.
