Hi Diana, you always make a wonderful job of glass, one can feel it tinkle. My thought about this one is it has the appearance of being top heavy. That's due to the very dark area at the top of the painting. A question of the right balance.

There's definitely something that bothered me about balance. Maybe because of the v shape of darks above and below the glasses , it's balanced. Diana

This is soooo beautiful, whatever details you are not pleased with, Diana, I love it as much as the first one.

I like the dark top and the rich colours at the base of glasses, this has a happy festive feel and I love the way you have depicted the crystal clear glasses Diana.

This one is also stunning as was the first one.

Astonishing work of art Diana, glasses look so real. The imbalance of the top of the glasses is because the higher half of the rim should be nearest, but you've painted the lower half as nearest, which appears to make the top of the glasses bend. If the white reflections were carried over the lower half of the rim, that would correct the illusion.

That's a splendid painting Diana

A wonderful painting Diana, your glass work is fantastic. I tried painting glass and failed miserably.

Full of sparkle Diana and I love the intensity of that blue.

I love it just as much as the first one Diana.

Wonderful painting!

The reflections and the colours in the base of the glasses and stems are really beautiful.

Wow, Diana! This is just beautiful! Love all the colours in this and also the wall tiles. But your glass just sparkles !!!!! Love it!

Thank you very much for the feedback. I particularly appreciate it as the painting is a re post .Mia, thank you, I suppose first impressions are important in artwork. I'm pleased wit the clarity of the glass Carole and thanks for identifying that. It's lovely to see your name so regularly in the comments Cesare and I love reading them. Frank, I really appreciate the the time you took to explain that to me . I see what you mean an will have a play as you suggested. Thank you Dermot, it's so encouraging to get positive feedback. Keep trying David, I'm sure you'll get there . I think it's all about the sharp light/dark contrasts and sharp/ soft ones too. Thank you Anne and Fiona, I'm delighted that the glass sparkles.. Fiona, I used Brusho to achieve the brightness. I not sure how that is for fading. Thank you Adele and Lesley, reading your comments has been very encouraging. Thanks Julia , the glass necks are my favourite part of the painting. Suzanne and Jennifer, I really appreciate you leaving your comments because I felt a bit frustrated with this one. Diana

Both versions superlative, Diana.
