Class piece is a good description Diana. That's what it is. Lovely work.

Lovely shadows and composition here Diana. And the light coming from the right is lovely too.

Beautiful light, shadows and colours, Diana.

Love your mark making, you make a difficult scene look easy, great skill Diana

Thank you Jim. Took me a few seconds to understand your comment 😆 Thank you Georgina, much appreciated. Thank you Cesare. I loved that iris of yours. Thank you Shayne. Actually, it was more difficult than I thought it would be

Love that sunlight - great watercolour, Diana

Gorgeous watercolour Diana...

Beautiful paintings, love the tone and the palette.

Attractive contrasts and colours Diana, great scene.

Beautiful painting, Diana.

Thank you Maureen. The photograph was taken my my teacher David Thomas and he has an eye for interesting lighting. Thank you Sylvia and Willie. I like completing a painting so quickly sometimes. I also enjoy the feeling of being excited to continue with a piece that’s taking longer but is really enjoyable. Thanks Carole and Seth. It always surprises me how different the paintings look when viewed from a distance.

Fabulous tonal range Diana, just perfect.

Wish I could do half as well in two hours Diana.

That's so beautiful Diana, as Jim says it certainly is a classy piece.

Definitely a classy piece, Diana! Beautiful work as always! Light is wonderful in it!

Beautiful painting.

Thank you Alan. Having a limited time forces you to look for the changes in value. I think the painting can be more expressive too. Thank you Sandra. It doesn’t always turn out well but certainly helpful in getting down the bits that matter and simplifying. Thank you Margaret and Thalia. My teacher provides photographs with beautiful light. Thank you Gary. Much appreciated

Lovely deep darks in those trees.

Beautiful light, wonderful tones......and I love your subject matter Diana.

I like the restrained palette

Thank you Stephen. I love my darks!, sometimes at the expense of the mid tones. Hello Fiona and thank you . I am trying out. Various under washes at the moment which is going to be beneficial I think. Thank you Stephen. I’m smiling because My limited palette was partly to do with having filled my palette Wells with dark greens and I was too lazy ...or is that engrossed to get up and clean it.

Thank you Gudrun. My teacher is a great fan of Perylene green. It’s beautifully dark.
