What a fabulous watercolour, Diana! Everything works beautifully.

I couldn't imagine doing a better job on the first watercolor. Now I know!

Thanks Willie. I’ve really enjoyed working to improve something I wasn’t completely happy with. Ha ha. Thanks Detlev. I’m getting worse in my self criticism.

It's a beauty Diana

Thank you Heather. Carnations are extremely difficult to paint loosely!

A super watercolour love the glass especially.

Thank you Chris. I really love painting glass.

I thought the first one was really good but this is so much better it’s superb. Well done for persevering and making such a good job of it .

Absolutely splendid!

You can’t waste flowers. I do prefer this second version. The flower and glass is beautifully done.

Even better Diana, a lovely carnation in a beautifully painted vase.

Thank you Paul. I’m pleased you can see a difference 👍 Thank you very much Faye. Many thanks Sarah Much appreciated. Thanks Spencer I’m glad I had a second attempt. Thank you Rikke for having another look. Thank you Carol. It’s good when you can see some areas where you didn’t achieve what you hoped and work out what could be changed.

I think this is really attractive. Love it Diana

Thank you Audrey. I was happier with this effort 😂

Lovely watercolour Diana! Beautifully wet!

Another I stopped to look at again. A smasher .

Beautifully painted.

Love the beautiful simplicity of this Diana. Such a challenge in watercolour but you have produced something very special here.

Beautifully painted, Diana!

Superb watercolour and the glass vase looks great! Well done!

Thank you Linda. Watercolour is perfect for painting water. Thank you Sylvia. I think that painting glass is an enjoyable challenge. Adding a few hard lines and watching it take on a transparent look is so satisfying.

Thank you Diane and Stephen. Your interest is really appreciated. Thank you Carole. I didn’t bother with a background as the shadow seemed to be enough. Thank you Anne. I am really grateful for your interest. Thank you Angela. It’s lovely to paint glass again. It’s a subject I always enjoy returning to.

A stunning still life, Diana.

Thank you Ellen. I really enjoyed painting it.

Not to be beaten by a yellow carnation I had another go. Lowered the water level and slightly different angle. I think this is slightly more recognisable 😂
