The Lane to Colton.
I was recently inspired by an article in the Tips & Techniques section on the POL website. It was an article from a 1980 edition of TA, written by Edward Wesson. Better known for his watercolours, but he was also an accomplished painter in oils. He had painted a snow scene, using a warm brown base/ground, made up of burnt umber and ultramarine, so I gave it a try! I’ve demonstrated my version, reference a local scene from my sketch book, in a 4-part WIP, which will be shown in a future POL newsletter.
