oh, i love the reduced palette, great grey atmosphere!

Great use of silhouettes here. First rate.

Lovely haunting image, makes me shiver!

I think this is great and agree with Tanja ... a VERY good quickie.

This is a great quick painting Alan. Super atmosphere.

Just knocked this one out? It's certainly a knock out.

I certainly like this Alan, especially the way you’ve controlled the wet paint to create the shapes.

Lovely in it's simplicity!

Great use of the grey Alan.

Beautiful, simple and effective!

A very effective sketch, and lovely grey tones. I like that you didn't add anything to the sky, I can see that would have made it too busy.

It's a standout piece Alan.

Excellent use of the grey paper Alan, suits your style. Super piece.

Superb work Alan and beautifully painted.

Full of cleverly designed shapes but I hate to think of w8nter approaching Alan.

That’s gorgeous Alan, love the palette

A super painting, I especially like the trees on the left.

Great shapes and atmospheric greys.

Like the grey background and the free brushmarks.

It looks so simple yet unachievable for many of us, a beauty Alan.

Much appreciated guys, a big thank you once again for taking the time to share your thoughts!

Stunning. Looks like 3 penguins at the back together ❤️ in a good way. 😍

Nice sketch Allan.

Sublime Alan.

I do like how you’ve created this Alan. Love the colours and silhouetted features.

Great example of 'less is more'

Beautiful tones and brushwork Alan and love the touches of white.

Brrrrr! That’s why I live in the West of the country!

Very effective 😊.

This disappeared from page 1 at such speed that I missed seeing it - you've made great use of the grey paper in this: Hilder himself would be impressed.

Very atmospheric

Great picture, I think the brown and white highlights are really effective.

Wonderful lightness of the brush !

Just knocked this one out this morning, so still wet! Testing out my new Winsor & Newton Professional Field Box…I’m writing a review on it and so far I am really impressed. Dawn will publish it in a few months time. Simple limited palette made up landscape on a half imperial sheet of Two Rivers Turner Grey handmade paper. Image size around A4 or thereabouts!
