I think the sky looks great, the left half of the sky would be well worth keeping in future project, also very dramatic and painted with abandom.

Another beauty Alan balance perfect great build up to the reds

Those four pieces of red make it sing....

I like your 'Gung Ho' approach Alan, it's exciting and fresh!

Who wants blue skies when you create such a fantastic image.

An Amazing and Wonderful painting Alan :)

Lovely work Alan the white in the sky lifts it and zi love the red.

Your sky creates a great atmosphere. Moreover, its is difficult to find a blue sky in wonderful Turner's watercolours, his own skies are always dramatic and impressive like yours. I like the red you use in every your painting.

I certainly love the colours you use in these " sketches" Alan. And they are brimming with vitality. Those reds are so good against the complementary colours.

Thank you all once again for your very kind comments.

Love your skies, Alan. They're much more atmospheric and dynamic than the run-off-the-mill blue skies. This piece is excellent, as usual. Love the composition, the palette and your superb draughtsmanship. And that amazing sky provides the perfect backdrop for an amazing scene.

That's a lovely compliment Seok, thank you.

Just superb Alan! So atmospheric with those beautiful colours....Lovely imaginative work!

I like your work, Alan. As an emigre from Newcastle-U-Lyme, living in Sheffield, I enjoy viewing your paintings of the industrlal sites around Stoke-on-Trent. They bring back memories, although I don't remember the places being so colourful! Do you exhibit?

Thank you Chandra and Barrie, I'm pleased you like my industrial paintings, I enjoy these challenges, As for colour, well, I do take liberties, I call it artist's licence, no, I don't exhibit at present.

Arches 300lb NOT. 11 x 15''. Another rapid acrylic ink sketch, again to use as inspiration for a later larger work. Sorry, I can't do blue skies, not often anyway, I find them so lacking in interest, and I'm trying to achieve maximum impact in my work. My usual 'Gung Ho' approach as Michael T mentioned yesterday
