My goodness, thank you everyone for your positive feedback, especially about the palette. I should try the ‘chucking it on’ method more often! Lol I used a brush and knife and the colours are... U. Marine Transparent oxide red lake R. Sienna Indian yellow Viridian (yuk) T. White.

Fiona, gosh that’s gorgeous and so striking! I love your colour palette, agree with your view on viridian though it’s not obvious in your painting, unless a little in the trees?! Well, I think we mostly agreed that the initial challenge was uninspiring, and yet, ultimately it has produced some exiting and very different results of which this is definitely one!
