Dull, messy sketches they're not! I like the subdued colours you've chosen Fiona. The delicate touch of the pen and ink give a lovely atmosphere.

Always interesting to see inside a person's sketch book especially one as good as this which is full of atmosphere and life. The foreground white wild flowers on the left side are beautiful.

Wonderfully darkly atmospheric pen and wash. I think you have really mastered this medium (I am still trying!) and have used your techniques to great effect here.

This is a really beautiful sketch Fiona! It shows the wilderness of the place with the old castle standing there on its own. The dull colours that you choose work very well here and the little flowers Louise mentioned add a nice soft touch.
