This is really well painted Fiona , the colours are superb it’s one of your top draw ones . Definitely has the FP touch to it.

Thats such a lovely atmospheric, to me it communicates peace, tranquilly - even isolation.

Beautiful work Fiona - very evocative of the fading year.

A wonderful watercolour Fiona.

Love this one, Fiona, very atmospheric, lovely composition, and I like the limited palette.

Another beautiful painting, Fiona! Love the colours you have used!

Thanks very much Paul, I was tempted to add some pen work but slapped my hand as it reached for the ink! Judith, you’ve got it spot on with your description. It was still, calm and only myself and the swans for company. Thank you. Thanks Sarah. Yes, in Scotland we are about two to three weeks ahead of you, depending where you are. Only the Beech still have a good canopy of leaves and the birch are all but naked now apart from the most stubborn of leaves. Many thanks. Appreciate your kind comment Chris, thank you. Back to my limited and boring palette once again Jenny….lol. I do like it though and is perfect for this time of year really. Thanks very much for your comment.

Missed you David……thank you very much.

Super painting Fiona, and I agree it doesn't need any pen work as it is very atmospheric as it is.

Lovely painting Fiona, wish I could paint as loose as you do, I am glad you did not add the penwork.

Lovely watercolour Fiona, it looks mystical and expresses delight!

Love the little bits of white peeping through and the various dabs of autumn colour. Definitely a peaceful scene and a very good composition. No pens required here!

Glad you resisted the ink - true artistic judgement there! It works very well.

It was touch and go Robert ……glad I restrained, it would have ruined the effect I think. Thank you for your input.

12”x12” watercolour, sketchbook Saunders paper. Painted on my walk today. It’s starting to cool down and the paint was taking its time to dry, a lot of wet in wet in this one. Still some colour clinging to the trees.
