Yes its full of movement and a lot of fun Fiona. I watched a pheasant walk past my door so close yesterday. I have an urge to paint the amazing in it.

Well there is lots and lots of movement in this which is what the challenge is all about. I wouldn't liked to have got between them when they were in the mood for fisty cuffs :)

I had to trawl through my photos for this one.....in the blue corner is the old hand, ‘Sundance’ and in the red corner is the challenger, ‘Junior’.....AKA. Spring Heeled Jack. A pair of modern game golden duck-wing cockerels that I bred.....father and son. I can assure you they didn’t have fisty cuffs very often but they could and did disagree on occasion. The modern game breed are the most wonderful birds, small in stature but huge characters. These two lived until they were ten years old, I miss them. Charcoal paper, drawn roughly with red and black conte crayons taped together and oil pastel.
