I like your greens lovely tonal work Fiona very striking painting

What are you talking about Fiona? Where's the mud? I like it!

I'm a great admirer of your work. Simple effective washes which are the essence of watercolour paintings.

The green is great Fiona

It's lovely Fiona. Your brush touch must be really feather-like. Mine's like a Mel hammer.

You are such kind bunch....thanks very much!

THIS LOOKS LIKE A REAL PROFESIONAL PAINTING ITS GORGEOUS FIONA LOVE IT

Difficult to use a variety of greens without the painting becoming saturated, but you've managed to do it with a sublety and style and a nice group of trees, your speciality...done with panache.

Just beautiful Fiona.

This is a beauty Fiona, those trees and their colours are superb.

Fresh. Have the buttercups been washed away already?

It that's mud then my work must be knee deep in the stuff!!! To be hosest, I don't really recognise muddy watercolour . I like the way your brushstrokes are minimal but describe the undulations of the land so effectively Diana

Some beautiful warm tones in this Fiona, love the soft pale green.

Love it Fiona great as always

Lovely light touch with this Fiona, can't see the dreaded mud anywhere! You do know I've patented those foreground shadows don't you?

Michael is right, you must have a very light touch Fiona. Lovely.

Many thanks everyone for your feedback on my 'green' experiment...there could be more!lol Gudrun, just a few buttercup still flowering, it will all be cut for hay soon. Lol Stephen, funny you should mention about the shadows, after putting them in I thought of you!

Love the wider range of colours in this Fiona, especially the sky and tree line. The light green gives it a fresh feel.

Thanks Jenny, trying some different mixes for greens.

Ah - my sort of scene - love the interwoven colours,.

Thanks very much Michael.

Only you can make mud look glorious, Fiona! A lovely, sunlit piece. Full of expressive brushwork.

It looks so summery with that blue sky and not a bit of mud in sight.

You are both very kind thank you.

Looks good to me Fiona,

Thanks David!

That's a beauty Fiona and I love that bit or warmth in the foreground ... Splendid

Thanks very much Dermot!

16" x 12" Watercolour on Jackson's rough. This is the reason I stick to my tried and tested three colours, four at the most.....lol. I'm trying out a few shades of green.....more summery.... but perhaps I ought NOT to put them all in the same painting!
