What lovely colors, Fiona! And the plums are so fetchingly portrayed! Love the ebb and flow of the colors.

Brilliant colour in the plums - super wet into wet technique, vibrant colours.

Very effective use of colour, and lovely painting style

Lovely inkwork Fiona! Yes, if you join the leaf it will look really good. Well done!

Love the colours very effective

I agree with the other comments, Fiona, but Satu is right: I would also join it and make the stem a bit higher.

You are all so very kind.....thank you for your encouragement.

superb use of colour Fiona, lovely painting

I love the colours Fiona, lovely painting

Lovely dramatic colour. Great plums.

Thank you Tommy,Petra, Carole....the inks are very intense but they do mix lovely on the paper. I only have a few so the choice of colours are restricted a bit. Fun though!

Great shape to those plums!

Thanks Debs.

They are very well done juicy ripe to eat!!!!:)Linda

Thank you very much Linda.

Lovely colours and I like the composition. Good decision to leave it without a background as the while paper makes the vibrant colours stand out.

A lovely vibrant painting Fiona. I like it!

Thanks for taking the time to look and comment Paul.

Thought I would have another go with inks, and with plums. The picture is from the cover of a seed catalogue that came through the door this morning. The leaf top, left leaf looks odd because the viens appear to be going the wrong way up the leaf. It's because the leaf is actually hanging down not growing up from the stem......I only did part of the picture. I think I will have to join it to the stem at the top so it sits better. Derrrrrr!!!!
