Lovely Fiona. Bright and breezy.

As Lewis says, this really does convey a bright and breezy day. Lovely, Fiona. Did you complete it all en plein air?

Nice work on show here…confident brush strokes and the three primaries are working nicely together!

You have certainly captured the feeling of the place in the superb painting Fiona , I can almost hear the sounds and feel the breeze.

Lovely fresh feeling, like it !!

Smashing, great sense of place and weather

What an idyllic spot Fiona and you would never guess that you used only 3 primary colours. I love the energy of the surf and the moving clouds. Great painting.

Really super brush work Fiona, and good brush work is half the job.

A lovely sense of movement, and the limited palette works beautifully Fiona.

Full of atmosphere Fiona. Just Beautiful!

Nice painting Fiona and a nice memory recall for me. We stayed in a cottage just above Knockina'an and I made a hash of capturing a similar beach view in watercolour. Well done you! and thanks for this one.

12”x9” oil on Arches oil paper, I’m persevering with using 3 primaries…….it’s certainly makes my rucksack lighter to lug around. The beach is located in a small secluded Bay which is the private beach of Knochinaam Lodge just south of Port Patrick. On a clear day you can see the coast of Ireland and the Isle of Man. Before the boats to Belfast sailed from Stranraer and now Cainryan, Port a Patrick was the principal port to Northern Ireland from the 17th century.
