A Winter Tangle

Comments

What a superb "Winter Tangle"! That is really good!!

Lovely Fiona 🙂🎨

Love it, so interesting to look at Fiona.

This is excellent Fiona. Certainly has the hedgerow bottom look , add some green in a couple of week to bring it up to date.

I really like this one, but as you might have guessed my favourite is the one with the figure in it.

This is really excellent Fiona.

Certainly a tangled web of fun and mystery Fiona. Keep them coming.

Excellent! I do love the tangle of a hedgerow.

Super, and I can see an eye in the middle!

Really really like this Fiona. Tangled it certainly is !

I know nothing about Monotype printing, but this is something that makes you want to look ...and look again.

This is interesting. When I saw the thumbnail, I though it looked like a tangled mass of ice crystals but opening up the full image, it's definitely twigs, stems and undergrowth. All very fascinating and hangs together really well.

Excellent, beautiful and lovely mystery, Fiona!! Like a lot and the limited color palette you used here.

Really intriguing Fiona

Really like this Fiona - it’s so effective- clever girl

Many thanks to you all for your super feedback on my print, very much appreciated. I love the unpredictability of this kind of print making.

Great energy- these are really powerful artworks Fiona.

Now I do like this one! It’s busy but you’ve not overworked it - the simple hints of colour are superb!

Typical of a Winter hedgerow, I love it Fiona!

Shaun, Alan…..thank you both for your encouraging support.

We must have crossed wires Carole! Thank you, glad you like it.

Really interesting and good, Fiona!

I feel as if I have been in such tangles when out on recent walks Fiona! Fabulous monoprint.

This is absolutely marvellous Fiona- really love it.

Love it, gorgeous piece of work

Marjorie, Sarah, Carol, Romila……thank you ladies for your kind words. I think you would need a machete to hack through this lot. There is probably a fairytale castle lurking on the other side with a maiden in a tower.

Wow Fiona , have you been up my garden? . I can see all sorts of small creatures living in here. Brilliant.

Stunning Fiona! This caught me at once when I visited the gallery.

Lovely and very effective!

Thalia, Sylvia lol, Detlev, Michael, Anne….thank you for your generous comments, always enjoy reading your thoughts.

I really like this Fiona; it is really effective. I too am being drawn to the disorder and different layers of undergrowth at the moment and have a hedgerow in progress! 😀

Hi karen, thanks very much for your kind comment. There is something intriguing about a scruffy hedgerow……good luck with yours, look forward to seeing it.

As you already know Fiona, I think this is brilliant! Such a lot to explore!

Thank you very much Diane, so glad you like it. I enjoy doing these prints…..how are you getting on with your plate?

Wow, that certainly is a winter tangle. I love it.

Thanks very much Ellen!

20”x14” monotype print using oil paint on newsprint paper. If you happened to see the print I posted a couple of days ago, this is the original plate, a little more cheery than the last one. This could be any wood, copse, hedgerow anywhere, a tangled mass of branches, twigs and dead undergrowth. The lull before the spurt of spring!
