It looks like a sea scape with the water swirling about the rocks.

Definitely loos like a seascape Fiona a gull or two in the left top maybe give a definite seascape look. Love the colours and texture.

Nice effect Fiona. Maybe a Turneresque ship tossing around for the top left area!? Just saw Dixie’s suggestion, gulls yes, or an albatross/sea eagle S you’re in Scotland?

Love the swirls and the layers Fiona!

It looks otherworldly Fiona so some kind of sea monster showing it’s head would work for me

The tide coming in a rocky bit of beach, great movement Fiona.

I agree with David about the swirling sea and Paul's suggestion about the gulls to the left. A good use of your time and old paint Fiona.

Certainly has a very lively nautical look about it Fiona. Love the colours in this.

As others have said, I feel that a bird or two in the left hand side would balance the lovely seascape out beautifully, or may be a windsurfer!

Thank you everyone for your comments and suggestions…..a few birds scattered on the left sound good.

Using old paint is a great way of loosening up (nothing to lose and this painting takes it to a new level. Well done.

Thanks Willie, I hate waste.

13”x9” oil on canvas. Moving house gave me the opportunity to sort the wheat from the chaff in respect of old paintings. Painted using left over paint from another oil and applied directly over an oldie. No particular idea in mind of how it would turn out…..might add to it. I feel the top left needs something…..any ideas?
