I like the way you have used the paper areas to create space and depth from foreground to the distant hills and although you have used a vibrant pallet the tonal quality has been well maintained.

Not to much Fiona if any. I have done this before and then had regrets. To my mind it helps to push the trees and distance back in place and makes a good overall composition. Perhaps better to leave well alone..
