Galloway Forest - workshop demo

Comments

I like the semi abstract feel to this, Fiona.

Difficult subject but like the way you've cheered it up.

Interesting expressive piece Fiona, very well executed using mixed media. Is this ‘week’ sunlight likely to last a fortnight?

Certainly captured the weak Sun with the colours.

Thank you Ellen, Willie, Richard and Alan for your comments! Oopps, I really ought to read through before posting! Lol predictive text.....that’s my excuse. That’s a very good joke actually Al, did you make it up all by yourself....💋

Like this a lot Fiona - very eye catching.

Thanks very much Margaret!

The red line at the front just sets it all off. I really like this.

Very eye-catching Fiona.

Many thanks Gudrun and Sandra.

That’s a smashing effect Fiona.

Mick, thank you. I wasn’t too thrilled with it to be honest, although I do like the part on the right with the diffused sunlight. It’s a bit too dark for me in the foreground.

12”x10” mixed media.... ink, watercolour and soft pastel on Arches. A piece I did at a workshop last year. I live quite close to the Galloway Forest and on the edges of the plantations where there is the odd tree or two down, it lets in the light filter through to the otherwise dark and oppressive forest floor. Tried to capture the glint of week sunlight through the canopy.
