Yes, it works. Are we going to have fireworks for the last one?

Now there’s an idea Marjorie! Thank you.

I really like. It will be an achievement when you do your last one. You will have to treat yourself.

This works really well. Well done at almost reaching your aim - hope you continue posting once you have reached it!

Cool Fiona..looks icy as well! Save some ice for the g&t moment upon reaching the thousand! I shall join you obviously :)

Nice work, Fiona - definitely icy!

Thanks Denise, that sounds like a good idea...perhaps a tube of the new Lapis Lazuli paint. Margaret, thank you very much. Yes, but not so often, it’s kept me keen for the last month or so but my enthusiasm will no doubt wane once I haven’t got a goal. That’s why I like the forum monthly challenges. Louise, we can plink, plink fizz together with out G&T’s. Thanks very much.

Thank you Anne?

This is pretty impressive Fiona and I can't wait to see what masterpiece you come up with for your 1000th .

I like this Fiona, very creative and original. You know we are expecting something SOOOOO amazing for your 1000th! Would you believe I have posted over 300 images since I started painting and came on here 6 months ago! I probably need to slow down now and start developing a bit more! You are an inspiration to me, so thank you : )

Nearly missed this one Fiona. Apart from the migrainous affect this has had on me it holds a great deal of fascination for the shapes and those lovely blues. What an amazing feat to reach 1,000 entries. I am so missing painting and it will be ages before I’m able to paint as the op on my wrist is in early March. I must say though, that I very much enjoy all the POL paintings, which are keeping me motivated, so thank you everyone 👍👍🌞🌞

Love your one thousand post, very intriguing composition, love the blue colour too.

You well deserve a tube of Lapis Lazuli, you should make it a big one.

This is good, Fiona - I had started something very similar, but might as well carry on with it! I’ve got a tube of the Lapis Lazuli Genuine (Daniel Smith) watercolour and, to be honest, am not overly impressed with it, it’s not a very exciting colour and is quite ‘greasy’ to work with - but will try it out on my ice painting!

Great combination of blues and white and intriguing shapes.

Thank you Carol. I think I may have set myself up for a fall, was wasn’t thinking of doing anything particularly spectacular for the 1000th, just the next one off the production line! Diane, thank you for your very kind words. It’s easy to get carried away posting, I don’t post everything I do, most of it is rubbish! And I don’t usually post as often as I have been doing for the last few weeks....maybe a couple a week. But I’m always more productive in the winter, I have more time. I think you are progressing wonderfully Diane.

Thank you Michael, you always find something hidden away at I don’t notice! Carole, I’m sorry, it must be so frustrating for you especially with the present situation. I hope your op doesn’t get cancelled. The next one will be my 1000th Kwok, thank you very much for your comment. Hi Jenny, I could go mad with this challenge, can’t wait to see what you produce....I know it will be quality. I won’t be tempted to get the Lapis Lazuli, I have two blues, how many more do you need! Lol. Thank you Sandra, will you be having w go at the challenge?

Wonderful colours Fiona and well done for reaching your 1000th post. I have yet to do mine but thought I would try the Brusho on it. Is the Lapis Lazuli going to make us better painters !!!, I'll stick with what I've got lol!!

Thanks very much Linda. It isn’t quite my 1000th post, that’s the next one. The Lap Laz , I expect it’s just another gimmick to get artist to part with their money!

You are so good at abstract painting Fiona, 999 is excellent. Are you planning something special for number 1000.

Great Fiona. Super colours as well.

Ahh, now I know what the count down is for, amazing milestone! I love the blues in this, I see broken fencing (and ice, of course😊)

Thank you very much Paul. I hadn’t planned anything particularly special to be honest, I have three paintings and a drawing all in the half completed stage, I think one of those will do the honours. Many thanks Richard, glad you like it. One more to go Katy and six days to finish something off. Thanks very much for your comment.

Missed this one! Great stuff F, imaginative and gorgeous blues.
