I agree with Thalia, there is a sort of similarity to chinese paintings. I think that it is the brushwork. Lovely painting!

It’s still so warm, not use to these kind of temperatures in Scotland! I’ve just given the hens a chunk of watermelon, sure I heard them sigh! Lol Thank you Tessa, Thalia, Carol, Rachel, Karen, Alita, Brian for your cool feedback. Thalia, Alita....ref brush work, maybe because it’s kind of hit and miss across the paper, and I do like to do the odd flicky bit! Brian, so relieved you can tell they are trees.....it was a quick quickie! Lol

Just catching up on the lovely paintings you've done while I've been away. I've looked at them all but will just leave comment on this one, which I like very much. I did love the colours in the painting you did for Marjorie's challenge. I should have a look at the myself as it would lend itself to an abstract treatment.
