Another cracker Fiona so well put together

That’s excellent Fiona , and really well painted.

Superb shadows and lovely golden colours Fiona. Love the way you have also painted the trees.

Lovely colours and tonal contrasts, Fiona.

Dennis, Paul, Carole, Jenny appreciate you generous comments, thank you.

Lovely summer scene, I especially like the distant trees. Also the way the painting leads you into the fields.

Like the layered effect Fiona, especially the row of green trees.

That’s a beauty Fiona, roll on summer...

You have just captured the look in the fields - I think this is a hard subject to portray.

Love the way you've painted those trees.

Many thanks Hilary, Tessa, Alan, Val, Lewis for your great support, especially as I’ve noticed an obvious compositional mistake! My lead in to the first field is in the centre and, so is the gap in the far tree line.....derrrr. Thanks again.

Good use of line leading into focal point of the painting - effective Fiona.

Beautifully painted Fiona.

Good colour, composition and I do like those trees on the horizon!

Thank you very much for you great comments Stevan, Shaun, Denise and Louise. It was the distant tree line that interested me. Really stood out silhouetted against the sky. I must make a point of returning there, the fields might have been ploughed up by now.....that would be interesting!

I really like this Fiona.

Lovely, Fiona -that unusual tree line is fascinating. Very nice hedge trees too.

Margaret, Diane, Anne.....thank you very much ladies!

Trees on a skyline. Always winner with me !!

Thanks Richard!

Clever how you managed to capture the undulating terrain, I like it.

Thank you very much Carole, Michael and Jacqueline, appreciate your comments. Sorry to hear that Michael, I’ve sent you a message.

Love your battered tree line and the bright field in front.

Thanks very much Sandra.

Watercolour in sketchbook. I did this late summer sometime, been out for a walk and I spotted this on the way back. It was the battered tree line that caught my attention, it’s a windswept area being close to the sea and those westerly winds.
