I know the feeling you described, I suspect most of us do. It was well worth persevering with this. It’s a beaut. Those trees are glorious, and the man and dog add interest.

I always like a foreground. Even if it's just shadows. The composition. And colours are great 👍

This does work very well Dixie, the composition leads the eye into and around the scene and I love the colours used especially in the sky.

A4 watercolour in A3 mount , decided to do something with a bit more colour as my last painting came out looking mono. A totally different painting , I started it a week ago and lost interest as the foreground was to big and area , decided to ad the outer hedge and the dog and figure. I think it’s worked and adds some interest.
