I like the shafts of light Dali g through the trees Paul. A very apt autumn painting.

That should be ‘falling’ sorry.

Nice one, Paul.

A lovely effect through the autumnal trees, Paul - well done!

Thank you all for your very kind comments, they are appreciated.

Very effective, Paul. Liking the composition too.

This worked out well, Paul.

Excellent painting again Paul

There is a nice ethereal quality eo the image. As it's a WIP will you be strengthening the darks on the uprights at all Dixie?

Thank you all for your kind comments. Rod it’s the finished version, many of the beech trees in the Chiltern woodland have a pale grey look with moss growing on them, I wanted to reflect this , it’s also how I remember seeing them when working in the woodlands. .

Nicely done Paul.

Lovely work, always love your trees !!

This is great Paul.

I like the long oblong approach which works well with the subject matter and those trees with the light coming through are great

Stephen, Valerie, Lew and Heather thank you for you most kind comments.

Lovely Autumn scene Paul.

I like the way you've painted the slivers of light falling through the trees.

Well done piece , I like the format.

A watercolour painting of the woodlands in early autumn, based on my knowledge of the local area. Inspired by the early changes in the local trees and plants following the long hot weather we have experienced this year. Looking at past photos and records this year autumn changes seem a month ahead of previous years. On the forum as a WIP.
