Timeless! lovely!

It's a lovely painting Paul and I can't see any wobbly lines.

That is very good, Paul - I really struggle to draw horses and yours are so well drawn and painted!

Thank you Thalia, Denise and David , I struggled with the rear legs on this one, trying to get then to look like the belong to the right horse . They are a difficult subject but then I find most animals are difficult to sketch or paint .m

Very good watercolour Paul, proper job !!!

Excellent reminder of times past.

Always a great subject… Alwyn Crawshaw painted them numerous times. Really great job here Paul, the scale of horse and man is perfect…

You've made a good job of a difficult subject. It looks fine from where I'm standing!

I like this Paul, a great piece from your imagination.

Beautiful, love the horses!

You are producing some lovely work, I love this one.

It's very good Paul, no sign of a shaky hand to me!

Beautifully painted Paul. Those horses are not easy, I've tried, you've created these so successfully.

Love this one Paul - the horses are beautiful! And whatever wobbles are in there certainly don’t jump out.

Lovely work Paul, like the autumn colours.

Many thanks to you all for your extremely kind comments, I appreciate them . I think when you have made a mistake well as you see it as a mistake it stands out, when I look I notice two or three lines that I wasn’t happy with , your comments suggest that they are not visible to anyone but me . Like any subject you choose to draw you need to take time studying the shapes etc , horses are no different but like most animals you do need to look extremely close at how the move .

Good painting, the horses are especially good.

Thank you Andrew for your much appreciated comment.

A difficult subject well put together Paul.

Really like this Paul, it's a gorgeous scene, well painted.

Thank you John and Sarah for you comments they are appreciated.

Great horses and a lovely rural background - super, Paul!

Such a lovely subject Paul painted so well.

Beautiful warm colours and I like your big horses.

Anne , Christine and Sandra thank you for you kind comments.

Very good Paul. Love your horses.

A14x8 watercolour painting, imaginary scene of a farmer ploughing in late autumn . Tried to avoid to much detail in the background and concentrated on the horses . I had to readjust the horses a few times to get them to look right against the background. There are a few wobbly lines from loosing control of brush when my hand spasms but it woks well on the trees I find .

About the Artist

I have sketched most of my life on and off I became interested in watercolour following a spinal injury whilst in hospital but did not follow it up. My eldest daughter bought me a beautiful wooden box set of half pans about twenty five years ago I dabbled on and off until retirement twelve years…
