It's an excellent painting Paul, You have handled the watercolour well. (pity it's not 20 inches x 30 inches though). Only joking mate.

Love the horses. They are so hard to get right and you have succeeded.

Beautiful painting, Paul and those horses are detailed so well!

This isn’t an easy subject! Well done for even attempting it and a cracking result Paul!

Thank you George , Elaine,David and Alan I really appreciate your comments. I like having a challenging subject to paint Alan as you know yourself you learn a lot more whatever the outcome.

Marvelous painting Paul of these two horses and plough! You did a fantastic job and it looks great, well done!

A lovely painting Paul. You are right not to overdo the detail as it keeps a fresh feeling to the painting which I really like.

This is super Paul. I love the tranquillity of the scene, bringing back memories of the pre tractor days. My farmer dad called these horses half legged, a cross between a light horse and a shire. You painted them beautifully.

Thank you Tanja and Ruth for you lovely comments. It interesting to hear that your dad called them half legs they to tend to look a bit too heavy on their short legs.

A4 watercolour painting of an imaginary scene , continuing my current theme of old farms . Found this quite challenging and it certainly had me thinking about how to do it as for me it’s quite a loose painting . I normally tend to put in to much detail such as the cows in the background I would have attempted to add the horns etc not just the basic shapes and done the blades of grass in the foreground in more detail .
