Lovely drawing of these old warehouses and the crane at the docks. So well aligned and nice colours too Paul, well done!

Another really good one, Paul! Just love those old warehouses at Gloucester docks and you have captured them so well!

A lot of interesting bits of industrial history to take in here Paul! It’s a very worthwhile drawing, well done!

I love industrial drawings and paintings Paul. Always important to document such through art.

Lots of tricky perspectives here, well done Paul

Thank you Cheryl, Tanja, Angela, David, Alan , Denise and Heather for you kind comments. I do enjoy these old building I find them as interesting as some stately homes, wondering what they were used for and thinking of the history they have seen. Definitely worth taking the time to record then in a painting.

Very interesting buildings and could be an historic record one day Paul.

Really good Paul, like the architecture.

Interesting subject, Paul, and nice colours.

A really nice industrial scene Paul, and beautifully rendered.

Carole, Stephen Jenny and John thank you for your kind comments I appreciate them .

Nicely done indeed Paul you have captured what was once a thriving industry very well.

Not an easy scene to do Paul, but well done, an interesting painting of the docks and the crane adds to it nicely.

Good one Paul, that looks quite a challenge, well done x

Looks like a complex scene…you’ve captured it very well.

Nice one Paul. .ove love those Ochres and Payne's grey.

A painting that tells a story. Love the attention to detail that adds so much depth and interest to the scene. Lovely work, Paul.

All those different perspectives would frighten me to death but you've made a super job of it Paul

Lovely composition with the old buildings and subtle colours - good work, Paul!

Thank you all for your very kind comments I appreciate them . All the angles were quite intimidating but that’s what appealed to me , you spotted the Payne’s Grey Silvia lovely colour.

It’s an excellent result Paul. You’ve coped with all those angles and perspectives really well, I don’t think I would even attempt it.

You've handled the various angles well, Dixie. I too, like the colours you have used.

I'm seeing that you like painting things that really earn their keep...like old cars, ships and old buildings. Nice work Dixie.

Fiona , Carole and Lew thank you for your kind comments I appreciate your taking the time to look at my painting. Your spot on Lew, there is something about old machines, car, ships buildings etc that shout out to be painted, I like to reflect the tough times they have had but remain recognisable.

Lovely drawing Paul and nicely painted.

George and Brian thank you for your comments.

This is so good, Paul. Such amazing detail and accuracy. All your colours too are harmonious, I like them, they are suited to old buildings and machinery. Smashing!.A Labour of love and I guess pretty painful on that hand at times.

This is such a busy and lovely scene. Great detail and super perspective. Definitely a look back on yesteryear.

Thank you Ruth and Spencer for your kind comments I appreciate them .

This is great, I love industrial scenes and you have handled it well.

very nicely painted

Thank you Ceri I appreciate you taking the time to look and comment.

Watercolour 23 x 36cm of old dockyard buildings . Based on a old photo of Gloucester dock area and added the old crane into the scene . I just wanted to have a go at all the different angles, not sure I’ve pulled it of totally but in happy with the result. I took longer than I expected due to my continuing hand problem but it wax good exercise both physically and mentally.
