I'm moo-ved to say that I like this, especially the way in which you have painted the mist.

Know what you mean, good painting Paul

Thank you for your mootivating comment Fiona, but I don’t want to milk it to much.

Thank you Heather for you comment I really appreciate it.

Very atmospheric x

Nice composition - like the fog and the fence posts.

Good one Paul. You have captured that early morning mist perfectly and the old timber fence posts are full of character

Delightful Paul.

Cathy , Andrew, Gillian and Denise many thank for your kind comments. I’ve been studying Gordon Benningfields work again , where developed my interest in painting years ago , he was such a influence then and still is . I will be featuring his paintings on the Inspiration from Artists thread soon.

I think that's my neighbour...Happy painting Dixie.

Lovely sense of distant and I like how you have painted the cows in mid distance Paul.

Love the title. I like the way you made the cows recede with the stronger foreground

Really like the foreground Paul but the cow coming out of the mist makes it a lovely composition

Nicely done Paul.

So simple and so lovely, one of your best I think.

Thank you Sylvia, Carole, Diana, Christine, Stephen and Valerie for you very kind comments.

Good one Paul. Great atmosphere with the cows silhouetted amongst the mist.

Thank you Spencer for you comment I appreciate it.

This is good, great misty effect and the foreground so well done.

Thank you Lew , I appreciate your comment. When I painted it I thought about the lay out and how it’s always said you should not have any barriers that stop you goi g into the picture . That is don’t put a fence across the painting it acts as a block , my thought was well you look over the hedge into the field so put a hedge there .

Super little watercolour Paul!

Thank you Alan I appreciate your comment. One of those paintings the seem to paint themselves as things just fell into place it was one of those did it for fun and very relaxed about it, be nice to be able to do that every time .

Romila many thanks for your comment.

A4 watercolour, looking over the hedge into the early morning mist . There always seems to be one cow that stops eating and stand staring at passers by they look so nosey. I suspected it’s the heard instinct one on lookout duty. Gets a bit worrying when they start walking towards you, do I stand still or beat a hasty retreat, as a devout coward I’m all for legging it every time.
