Biography

I started painting at the beginning of 2022, after my lovely dad died. Mum (88) & I decided to join my brother's Zoom art class every Tuesday and it has been a saviour for us both, helping us through the grief. I went to Art college many years ago and qualified in Graphics/Exhibition/Display. Been "arty" all my life in many different ways; teaching, running my own craft business and designing window displays, running craft workshops, creating property brochures when I was a property valuer to name but a few. Painting landscapes is new to me. I have always loved figure and portrait drawing, but decided that I had to learn a new way to approach my artistic side. This experience of trying new mediums and subjects is endlessly fascinating and will keep me going forever I think!
