Aww horsey Is a beauty. Lovely trees also. All round a lovely painting 🖼

Another superb horse painting!

Nice one Paul. You are very good at painting horses

Many thanks Faye, David and Chris fir your kind comments, particularly as I had my doubts about it . Sometimes we don’t see our own work as others do and rightly so.

Well done Paul. Another lovely horse painting. It’s not easy finding the time over Christmas is it!

Love this Paul. You are skilled in depicting the horse’s anatomy and placing him within a lovely, well painted scene. Super!

Thank you Christine and Spencer for your king comments . I decided a about two months back to stop avoiding sketching and painting horses Spencer and found thst I have a hidden love of painting and sketching them . I’m creating a sketch pad for my two youngest granddaughters who are horse mad at the moment.

I think it's a lovely scene Paul and well done for getting it finished.

Thank you for you kind comment Denise.

A beautiful working horse, I would be very pleased with this one Paul. Great job at the end.

Beautiful. I love the composition.

Well, am glad you persevered Paul, the horse is particularly good

Two good 'horse' posts. I get the point about distractions and losing interest, but it was worth persevering. When I read about artists taking 3 months to make a painting, I can only admire them, if a picture takes me 3 days, interests wanes. Luckily we're all different.

Thank you Lesley, Dylan, Heather and Lew for your kind comments. Unfortunately Lew it wasn’t just the festivities that got in the way , the carpet fitter just before Christmas put a screw through the heating system pipe , two weeks later leak through calling , with all the floor boards etc coming up. But you are correct about loosing interest if it takes to long , I keep them and try to get back into the flow, this time I was determined to finish it .

Another good 1 Paul

A lovely scene of country life Paul , executed in your super watercolour style.

Thank you Paul and Fiona for your comments. I’m a little disappointed at photo Fiona as it’s a lot more pail looking than the original, mind you it’s been very poor light here of late.

It's lovely, Paul - the horse looks great wearily plodding home for his rest- well done!

Thank you Anne for you kind comment,

Lovely - the horse really looks as though he's been working all day

Very nice and it telling the story...
