This is lovely David. Fantastic colours.

Terrific painting of Llyn Ogwen. You have captured it so well David. Although I always seemed to see it when it was raining there.

A fantastic painting, David. Great depth, perspective and colours!

A beautiful scene and beautifully painted.

What an amazing view and your delicacy in applying those subtle light changes is incredible David. Thank you for letting us know your method - very helpful.

Hang on Studio Wall

Watercolour 20" x 16" framed my main object here was to inject colour and light. One way of doing this is to use the sunshine colour, Yellow Ochre. This is used in the sky together with Light Red , FU and Cad Red. The trap here is if you use the YO to thickly as it can kill a painting if used like that in the sky. The sky was thoroughly wetted before apply the mixes.
