Llyn Ogwen, Snowdonia, North Wales
Watercolour 20" x 16" framed my main object here was to inject colour and light. One way of doing this is to use the sunshine colour, Yellow Ochre. This is used in the sky together with Light Red , FU and Cad Red. The trap here is if you use the YO to thickly as it can kill a painting if used like that in the sky. The sky was thoroughly wetted before apply the mixes.
