Self Portrait During Lockdown (583x800)

Biography

I have been keen on painting and drawing for as long as I can remember, and started to study art seriously at the age of 14 in the early Sixties with local artist Dora Leaman. I had hoped to go to art school, but for various reasons this was not possible and I lost interest for a while until the early Seventies, which was also when I started to read The Artist. I studied life drawing and portraiture with Avril Darby for over 17 years, and have often exhibited and occasionally sold work. My main medium used to be oils, but I now mainly use acrylics and watercolours. As a committed Christian I enjoy developing whatever God-given gifts I may have.
