I’ll be covering a variety of mark- making tools, including reed and bamboo pens, quills and a whole lot more.

Very nice, I look forward to the article.

Excellent drawing Alan , I’m looking forward to the feature in the new year.

Love line and wash, Alan, monochrome is very appealing. This is beautifully done.

Excellent work Alan. I like your treatment of the windows (along with everything else.)

Shall look out for the feature, good one Alan

Really looking forward to the article Alan, I like drawing with pens but often get a bit mesmerised by all the different ones on offer! Lovely drawing too!

A superb sketch

Lovely drawing, I'll be reading it.

Oh yes Alan, I did send a letter about the sunset article and I got a message back to say they would be using it, I think in the October issue.

Love the variation of markings and the delightful cottages Alan. I’m sure your article will be very interesting.

Fascinating old buildings - very nice sketch and will look out for the article!

Thanks guys much appreciated!

Clean lines , super work. Look forward to the article Alan.

Lovely line and wash Alan. I look forward to reading the article.

I'll certainly look out for the article - I do get TA online, but have a nasty habit of forgetting to actually look at it... I'd like to get back to pen and ink, though, so will forcefully remind myself to check all the issues carefully.

When I was a little girl I dreamed of living in a cottage. Their quirks are the best which you've captured. Lovely work. Nice pens 🖊

What artist couldn’t resist drawing this quirky old row of cottages? I certainly couldn’t! I’m getting a collection of sketches together for a double feature coming up in TA in the new year, demonstrating a variety of line & wash techniques and materials. Some previous drawings and some new.
