I love all the different colours in this one, Alan.

I get the feeling of the sun burning away the mist producing a lovely heat haze Alan. Has very good recession with the two white sails drawing the eye.

Super painting, Alan. Like the figures.

Great colours, agree with Barry regarding the heat haze, and the sails drew my eye too.

You paint the haze we often get in this country so well. I like the addition of the figures in the foreground, which adds to the sense of scale.

A good balance all round Alan. I like that single spot of orange on the water.

Another superb painting Alan, what else can I say?

Love the soft colours, works well.

Wonderful light on the water Alan, I really this.

Fabulous painting, Alan. I could linger over it for an age. Those distant sails are the bees knees. Lovely! Brian

Yes, it does look like a heat haze and the colours are lovely and subtle.

This has a "quieter" early morning feel about it ( if that's the right word) Alan . I like the softness of the palette in this version.

What a beautiful scene, Alan!Full of mystery and wonderful light, so much is suggested and the colours are superb. Love it!

Looks like a really murky day Alan but the colours you have used have kept it warm looking.

Fantastic work Alan

This is really superly understated, Alan.

Lovely - how to say so much with so little!

Thanks everyone for some super comments, always appreciated.

Love the colouring and the atmosphere, Alan

Love this Alan....It’s a very atmospheric painting and takes me back to the very first time I went to Cornwall and we stayed in a little inn at Sennen Cove, and I remember thinking , one evening , as the sun was sinking below the horizon, that this must be one of the most beautiful places on earth.

30 x 40cm oil on board. My impression of the scene and a change of atmosphere from my previous vibrant blue sea and skies of the same area. I managed not to start adding detail to this one, that's never easy for me!
