Another stunning painting, Alan, wonderful colours, light and shadows.

I agree with Cesare, stunning Alan, I like the warmth and light on the stone.

It's that flash of green for me, plus the superb light if course.

You have captured the time of year so well in this piece Alan.

This is a beauty Alan, some great shades in this.

Long winter shadows and low golden sunshine...it's another beauty Alan!

Very nice indeed Alan

Love the light in this, beautifully painted.

A wonderful atmospheric piece, Alan. I truly am impressed with the way you've laid in the sunlight and shadows on the building.

Alan which blue is that around the trees please if you don't mind me asking? It looks lovely with that gold yellow.

Thank you all yet again for some lovely encouraging comments, I do appreciate the time taken. Carole, That was dropped in using Aquarelle Museum water soluble pencils, the blue is 3510-670, the orange 3510-850. You may be able to buy them as singles online.

One of two lodges, both identical and opposite each other stand at the entrance to Sandon Hall, ancestral home to the Earls of Harrowby. Painted in bright sunshine on Tuesday, let's hope this mild spell continues for a while so that I can get out and about with my paints. Usual MO, ink and watercolour on Fabriano 300lb HP, 10 x 12in.
