Gorgeous Alan interest everywhere spot on

This really is an eye-catcher, Alan. Very impressive. Love the composition and the limited colours.

Lovely colours Alan - full of energy and spontaneity.

I like your perspective, Alan and the warmth of the underpainting. great painting

A real wintery feel as a result of those cold colours.

Another great one, beautiful Alan.

Bloomin wonderful Alan, but you already know how much I love your snow scenes....I still admire them every day!

Again, such gorgeous colour Alan !

Beautiful as all your paintings are Alan. Great colour for a snowy scene.

A very attractive scene well depicted Alan. Nice work again.

Great work, Alan. You have a distinctive style that I like.

This is a beauty Alan. The composition and palette are wonderful. Do you always use wood as a surface to paint on? I don’t like the texture of canvas or the rather wobbly feeling as you apply pressure

Gosh, what lovely comments from you all, I am so pleased that you like yet another of my 60 minute works. Hi Diana, I actually don't really have any great preference as to supports. This one is on Gessoed 3mm MDF, which at this size does make a decent rigid support. My other choice, if I don't fancy a canvas is of course the popular canvas board which is available everywhere and is ready primed for both acrylic and oils. This is a lighter choice and would be my preference for outdoor painting.

Love this painting, colours are beautiful.

Thanks for your reply Alan. I forgot about canvas boards

Your smashing colours again Alan! Free, beautiful, magnificent!!

Another fabulous painting Alan

Beautiful palette Alan. I like the brush marks , they are very confident .

Hot off the press, or the easel anyway. Yet another snow scene just completed this morning. Oil on MDF 20 x 20in. The Beacon is a small outcrop of woodland perched on a mound, a popular spot for walkers. I'm a painter, not a walker.
