Oh my Alan this is a stunner , it’s fantastic . The judges should be allowed to takeoff the extra dark glasses and see what they are looking at properly, no idea at all any of them .

Superb painting Alan.

Even better than the other one Alan! ( in my humble opinion)

Stunning artwork Alan.

Yes, I agree with Russell

It is a stunner beautifully painted Alan.

Very good, Alan, lots of atmosphere and harmony

An amazing painting

An absolute stunner, Alan. Prosit!

This is great Alan. Really atmospheric and the highlighted areas work a treat. Great work.

Ohhh love that sky. Another beauty Alan 😍

I like this one a lot Alan. So atmospheric.

Beautiful - excellent work!

Unlucky on this occasion Alan. I know Boston really well and the way you have portrayed the riverside buildings is fabulous! Full of atmosphere. Boston stump is the medieval tower of St. Botolph’s church, it’s quite a climb! 😥

I ‘m not familiar at all with the area. Both paintings convey the atmosphere you get in these industrial areas….I’m leaning slightly to this one as a preference, maybe because of the bright reflection on the water which draws my eye. Back to the drawing board for us then 😁 . It must be said there were some amazing entries in all categories.

Thanks guys appreciated…

Full of interest with tonal, colour and shape variations. Great job Alan

Stunning light exposed on the river and rooftops and barges , one can experience the first light of daybreak, superb Alan!

So much to admire in this painting Alan - detail, tone, subject and style- all excellent.

It’s that tall thin building in the distance, for those who aren’t familiar with the area. My second accepted entry for this year’s TALP exhibition, (The Artist category), which is on now if anyone is interested in visiting. Oil on Panart board 40 x 50cm. No award this year, but delighted to have had two of my submissions accepted for exhibition - I’ll be back again giving it my best shot again next year as usual.
