Love the loose style and limited palette Alan.

Two Rivers paper is on my must-get list. This painting is a lesson in how to create a recognizable feature with an absolute minimum of detail.

I agree with Robert!

Great standpoint

Terrific Alan. Everything there, but 'simple'...no. Simple is the hardest thing to do.

Beautiful example Alan. I have been tempted to try Two Rivers paper after your recommendation Al, about to post the result! 😕 I can’t handle it as good as you.

Another quality watercolour Alan so very effective.

It's a beautiful watercolour Alan!

Like lots….especially the contrasting foreground.

Lovely loose painting Alan

Much appreciated guys, thanks!

Nice result, I’ll look for the brand.

You do these so well Alan. Simplicity is king!

Good work, Alan. The simplest of studies often are the nicest to view. Easy on the eye and uncomplicated. I like the human aspect of the church, it gives life and interest to your painting.

Really good composition and colour.

I really like this Alan, it’s the pure simplicity of those strokes. It’s what painting is about.

I really like this loose style with those large brush marks - it works perfectly Alan.

Wonderful watercolour and a lesson on how watercolours should be done! If only mine could turn out like this? Excellent!👍

Stunning! So deceptively simple, Alan! Terrific work. Paper looks awesome! better try some!!!

Like the title and great style!

Simplicity can trigger so much more in the brain. Love this.

Watercolour in an A4 Two Rivers sketchbook, lovely handmade paper and I recommend giving it a try! Simple imaginary composition, very simple in fact… a church and a few trees!
