Ingestre Hall, Jacobean Mansion House.

Another beautiful one Alan, lovely colours

You have caught the mood so well Alan lovely piece

This is great your work :)

Wonderful painting Alan, I like your palette and this style is superb.

Lovely - another winner!

It's a splendid piece Alan and more detail would probably not have the same impact , by the gods you work quickly I'm no slouch myself but you've achieved a lot in half an hour

Another worthy effort in this series Alan, again I like the contrast between the painted and ink areas.

This takes me back! I spent two separate live-in workshops here when I was at school. They used to run music workshops for school orchestras. I spent many happy hours exploring the house and grounds. Thanks for the memories. The sketch is outstanding.

Hang on Studio Wall

Again, within ten minutes driving is this architectural Jacobean hall, a splendid piece to draw and one that I have revisited numerous times. Just a quick 30 minute sketch on this ocassion which was done yesterday so hot of the press as they say. There is also a block of really interesting stables and an orangery which I managed to capture also, again just as a quickie. Possibly to do this great historic building credit it would be a good studio project and perhaps work from photographs to get some degree of accuracy, believe me it is very complicated and this is just one of the elevations, hope you like it, usual MO as the church series of which I still have more completed.
