My impressionistic approach to a subject that I’ve painted numerous times, and from a variety of vantage points. It started off as a rapid sky study for a later feature, using broad visible brush strokes to indicate both movement and urgency. I later chose to develop the landscape, but keeping it loose and energetic in harmony with the sky and devoid of detail. Jackson’s board 40 x 50cm.
