Beautiful colours Alan especially the highlights on the hills.

Interesting viewpoint Alan and your readily recognisable palette.

Beautiful colours, the reflective morning light is perfect, as always... Alan.

Love this - your colours and mark making are superb

Lovely image and light Alan. Like the single red sail in the distance...

A great painting Alan, it's got amazing light 😀

Love that sweeping curve of the bay and the lovely oranges and blues throughout the painting. A lovely piece Alan.

Absolutely love the variety of Mark, the colours, the sheer originality, Alan.

I love the painterly techniques you have used in this painting - and I love Sennen too!

Love the colours, Alan, especially the blues and greens in the foreground.

This is a beauty Alan, I love the colours and the super twinkling of the water. Just great!

I love the colours you've used Alan, and the gorgeous glistening sea. Good luck with the competition.

Very effective and different, Alan

Wow! Wow! Wow! the colours are magnificent. LOVE this Alan.

I just love this, Alan.

I've said it before you really know how to use colour Alan, this is stunning and the light on the horizon is gorgeous.

Absolutely marvellous Alan! The colours are truly lovely ....got to be a winner!

Wonderful light and colours, Alan.

Excellent, Alan. I like the light on the sea, and I know that’s not easy to produce.

If the other five are this good you should be a clear winner Alan.

Excellent work of art - I love your use of colour.

An absolute stunner, Alan - excellent composition and palette, and superb sparing use of lines.

Thanks so much for all your encouragement.

A really interesting composition - it works really well and is helped by great choice of colour.

Oil on MDF board 20 x 20in. The first of six paintings that I am entering for this year’s TAPC Open competition. I’m busy working on four at present in the studio, all at different stages of completion; they are referenced from my own material including plein air drawings from my sketch books. I hope that you like the first completed one. Anyone else giving it a shot this year?
