Beautiful work, Alan, great atmosphere.

Cricky Alan it’s cold enough without this. What can I say excellent.

Cold and still, what a feeling!

Just love it, a beautiful moonlight scene,😃

Love your colours Alan and great painting 👍🏻

Very, very atmospheric, Alan, especially with the moon.

Thanks everyone, I may make the moon a bit bigger now I've looked at it again, a bit more impact perhaps.

Absolutely gorgeous again Alan! Dreamlike scenery and the moon is a bonus.

Love the colours and the style.

Captured superbly as always.

Lovely mood to your painting, Allan. Great balance to the painting, the colour the tone and I love the 'carpish' colour in the pool. Gorgeous picture.

Lovely painting Alan you have expertly captured the colours and tones created by moonlight.

Yes, I think you could make the moon a little bigger - but it still has wonderful impact and, in short: you've gone and done it again! No jealousy here. None at all......

Thanks all, your comments are always appreciated, Robert, you do make me laugh 😁.

Nice painting Alan the moon looks fine and I like those warm reflections in the water giving a nice harmonious colour balance , total success is say.

Nothing more I can add really Alan, it’s all been said.....another example of your mastery with paint.....it terrific!

How beautiful this looks Alan, I like the moon! As I write this I can see the moon rising above the mountain opposite me, not quite full yet.

Wow really feel the cold here Alan !!

The moon makes it, I love it.

Love the blending in the sky, but could do with some red..to match the reflections, but a wonderful serene cold feel to it.

Oh Alan..absolutely gorgeous. Such good colour and that moon just makes it!

Super atmosphere to this Alan, love the colours - and the square format. (Agree with you about the size of the moon.)

Oil on board 20 x 20in. The first snow earlier in the week, although it only lasted a short while it always inspires me. Always a bit of a gamble adding a moon, they can look so 'staged', but it was there so I've dropped it in. The carp pool is always a bonus for adding reflections. Very limited palette for this scene which does keep things very simple..
